The banks of Llanishen Reservoir in North Cardiff are one of the best areas in Wales to see beautiful and colourful grassland fungi in autumn.
It supports 28 species of Waxcaps which are brightly coloured fungi characteristic of old, unimproved grasslands. This is a declining habitat, making many Waxcaps very rare.
